Espacio de Encuentro

The Azvi Group Foundation works on an ongoing basis with Espacio de Encuentro, Cadena SER Andalucía’s leading programme on interculturalism, integration and development. With a track record spanning more than two decades, this radio programme has established itself as a forum for reflection, analysis and the promotion of initiatives linked to diversity, migration, international cooperation and social cohesion.

Within this framework, the Foundation is involved through the ‘Caminantes’ section, presented by Pilar Kraan, director of the Grupo Azvi Foundation. This section provides a platform for dialogue in which professionals and experts from various fields – such as research, psychology, sociology, social work and development cooperation – take part, sharing experiences and knowledge aimed at improving the living conditions of people in vulnerable situations.

Through these discussions, the Foundation helps to promote social awareness, integration and harmonious coexistence, focusing on building partnerships and collaborative networks that enable the optimal use of available resources, as well as on supporting priority groups, particularly children, women and the younger generations. Furthermore, the programme promotes a broader understanding of migration and contemporary social challenges, addressing them from a human, technical and multidisciplinary perspective.

The recognition received by Espacio de Encuentro throughout its history, including the ONCE Foundation’s Solidarios Award for best radio programme, reflects its contribution to building a more inclusive and diverse society. In line with these values, the Espacio de Encuentro Awards recognise the work of organisations and individuals committed to equal opportunities, social cohesion and social development.
